Yamaha F200

The new four cylinder, four stroke is the lightest 200hp four stroke on the market; it’s up to 119-pounds lighter than Yamaha’s V6 F200 and weighs only 14-pounds more than Yamaha’s two stroke 200 HPDI outboard. Like its V6 offshore siblings, the four cylinder F200 is equipped with Yamaha’s variable camshaft timing system which will help with quick acceleration and a strong midrange punch. Unlike some of its 200hp competitors, the new a F200 runs best on 89 octane fuel; with the cost of fuel rising, that is a good thing. Other features include: a powerful 50-amp alternator, Yamaha’s variable trolling RPM switch (vts) and their own shift dampener system, which is standard on the new F200. The new F200 motor is available with either digital electronic controls or mechanical control. You can’t go wrong with Yamaha if you are looking to repower your boat or looking to purchase new.
