60 Maps of Snowmobile Closures

It’s not quite time yet, but in some areas the snow is falling. Sooner than later, it’ll be time to take part in the winter pastime of snowmobiling.

The Ministry of Lands, Forests and Natural Resource Operations has an informative page on their site showcasing 60 maps of the areas closed to snowmobiling.

The one million hectares of land that are closed in the Mountain Caribou Range are included in the Mountain Caribou Recovery Implementation Program. The aim of the program and subsequent closures is to facilitate the population recovery of the area’s caribou.
