Where to Look When You Need to Know

Looking for information about fishing and hunting regulations, openings, closure, updates and more? Here are some handy links to keep you in the know as you head out into the great outdoors.

The BC government website has a wealth of knowledge. Go to http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/fw/, and on that page you’ll find information on licensing, hunter education, wildlife management issues, freshwater fishing regulations, and much more.

If you’re into saltwater fishing, you should head to http://www-ops2.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fns-sap/index-eng.cfm for fisheries notices, as well as stock advisory reports and regulations.

The FFSBC site, http://www.gofishbc.com/ is full of helpful information, as well as http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/rec/index-eng.html, and http://www.bcwf.bc.ca/.

So before you head out, make sure you’re armed not only with the gear, but the knowledge as well. Make this a safe, fun and successful season.
