Jenna McRae's Blog
Jenna developed her passion for sport fishing at a young age while spending a lot of her time at her family cabin located in the Thompson Nicola region in British Columbia. It all began with a belly boat and hike in lakes and progressed to fishing exotic destinations around the world including Thailand, Hawaii and, recently, Ascension Bay, Mexico where she enjoyed stalking weary bonefish and aggressive barracuda.

While Jenna’s Main expertise lies with fly fishing, she also has experience in drift fishing, spin casting and sturgeon fishing. Fly Fishing continues to be a very rewarding and strong passion of Jenna’s and her desire is to help encourage other women into exploring the wonderful and rewarding sport of fishing!

Mike Mitchell's Blog
As editor of the oldest Hunting and fishing magazine in Western Canada I try to get out and either fish or hunt as much as I can.

With a young family outing have become less frequent but the ones we do get out on are even more rewarding as the whole family gets to experience the outdoors. I have been married to my wife Rachel since 2001 and have two, soon to be three great kids Marleigh (3), Caleb (7) and baby.

My fishing partner Caleb is just as enthusiastic if not more than I am when it comes to getting out on the water. Some of our favorite places to wet a line are the Fraser River for sturgeon and the central coast of BC for salmon.

I look forward to continuing to contribute to the rich history of BC Outdoors magazine for years to come.
