Skeena Meadows Wildlife Preserve (SMWP) is looking for an individual or couple to manage its 685 acre property located near Hazelton BC. The property has 2.5 miles of riverfront, 200 plus cleared acres, salmon spawning stream, 7500 square foot shop, 3 bedroom winterized apartment, and is well equipped to execute all projects. Revenue from the property will be from agriculture, accommodations, and pheasant shooting. With many additional venues available for development. A self sustaining business plan will be developed with the new manager.

The manager should have the following experience, interests and skills sets:

- natural sales ability
- computer literate
- self motivated
- agriculture experience
- pheasant or poultry breeding
- experience with hunting dogs
- interest in hunting and fishing
- mechanically inclined
- willing to think outside the box
- able to interact with guests
- personnel management for staff up to 6 persons

The Skeena River hosts one of the largest Salmon runs in the world with all 5 species of Salmon and Steelhead Trout. SMWP is a fisherman’s dream

Hazelton is a quaint historical town of 2000 persons located in the mountains of BC 15 minutes from the property. We are 45 minutes from Smithers (5000 persons) and one hour from Terrace (10,000 persons).

Compensation will be based on experience. Retired individuals and couples are welcome to apply.

If I were looking to make a change I would be all over this but, alas, in the oilfield they pass around money like it grows on trees and I am centrally situated so well that I'm 8 hours from Kamloops, 5.5 hours from my favourite Sask. lake and 12 hours from Manitoba's Parklands. Methinks I should stay put! For the record I do miss BC dearly!
