I've been meaning to join for quite a while now and have finally gotten around to it. I flyfish mostly for trout and some salmon and steelhead, when I can get out. The forum looks interesting and I'm interested to see how it evolves over time. Looks good Trevor.

Some of my earliest memories involved looking through bc outdoors dreaming about the next fishing trip. Now I find myself lost in the same magazine, dreams being more expensive now. I have been flyfishing for over 20 years and now my wife enjoys it as much as myself. We live in Kelowna and enjoy the okanagan and all it's fishing oppertunities!

Rivers are much higher than last year, I am hoping for a major drop over the next week. As it stands we WILL NOT be doing the upper Granby that we did last year and not the lower Kettle that we also did. If things change the way I hope we should have some great drifts and worse comes to worse we can do some great still water at Loon (on the highway coming in from the west)

Got some good prizes lined up for the Saturday BBQ and working on more.

Sounds AWESOME BUD!!

Any idea of the numbers coming yet and can Loon hold us all?? Jewel is also close by is it not???
In any event I believe we will have a FANTATIC time whatever we do!!! We can even celebrate the speycasters and BETTER HALF.s happy union of 46 years.
I have a couple of things to donate as well as bringing some fly tying material down for the School Project.

See ya soon.

....One way or another we WILL HAVE a GREAT WEEKEND !!

I'm hoping for over 20 but don't know for sure.....busy collecting prizes from the local merchants.

Here are the basic plans.....

Friday.......International to City Park

Saturday......TENTATIVE.....City Park to Lockwood's

Sunday......TENTATIVE .....Humminbird to Bible Camp.

Monday......still water either Wilgress or Christina or Jewel......people's choice.

Alternative.........still water fishing on Wilgress...or ....double the drifts from International to City Park........if the water does not drop a LOT I am not going to let anyone drfit to the Ponderosa (Howie Hunt's) as the Gilpin pool is boiling.......top end of the Granby has some jams that I do not think anyone should go through.

Friday night....meet and great !!

Potluck BBQ Saturday night.....BYOM AND BYOB

Sunday Morning.....Pancake Breakfast.

Mel, Lawrence and I are doing a safety drift on Wednesday from International to City park........10:00 start...join us if you wish.

Hey from another Alberta-guy. I'm another one of those that can't get enough of your magnif province, especially the Northern coast. I've been heading up to QCI almost twice a year for the past 10+ years. We do it all by ourselves...blow up boat, beach camp, pack and freeze. Love the remoteness of it all. We never leave disappointed. Just wish I lived closer!

Hello all: First post for me. I started fly fishing about 20 years ago but never really got into it. Last year I bought a truck and camper and got back into it. I tried fly fishing for coho last fall (only caught chum) but really enjoyed it. I also tried for winter steelhead on the fly (caught nothing). I've been hitting the interior lakes this spring and summer with varying levels of success. I am still learning but I am completely hooked (no pun intended). I'm looking forward to fishing for pinks soon. I am also enjoying by BC Outdoors subscription my wife got me for Xmas.

Cheers, Flyfisher

Just another fly fishing fool! I have a bad addiction to Skating drys for mykiss on the T when she is open! So I must go up North to the flows that my brother haunts to relieve the pressure in late summer and early fall. Also have a great passion for still-water rainbows of the interior! This problem has not only effected myself but also my wife. You know its bad when your better half walks into the door after work with a new fly rod under her arm and says, "I think we should go to the lake this weekend so I could try my new starvation stick out"! :o You guessed it, I almost choked on my coffee! Yup that was my day yesterday! Could be worse! Hope to share some tips and also learn some new ones.... cheers
